CATCH UP!

Well it has been a few weeks since we have updated out blog. I will tell you, life has just gotten so busy ... no excuse I know! We are going to start with the present and go backwards.

This last week I went to girls camp up at Tropic next to Bryce Canyon. Our yearly girls camp hike took place through Bryce Canyon. It was the most beautiful hike I think I have ever been on! Sad as it is, I have been raised in Utah my whole life and this was the first time I had been there. It was a REALLY hard hike, but amazing!

Next was Canoeing in the Tropic reservoir followed by lots of incredible uplifting and spiritual activities.

The theme of our camp was Daughter of a King. It was not only the perfect theme for these girls, to help them recognize the role of their Heavenly Father in their lives, but it was so great to be reminded that my Heavenly Father loves me too! I think I came away as much or even more spiritually fed than the girls I was over. I felt silly at times, thinking I was old enough to be a leader, but I gained such a great understanding and love for those leaders who were over me, and put up with my silliness over the years at camp!

The weekend before Girls camp I traveled up to Salt Lake for a short two day trip to my friend Heidi's wedding. Here is a little shout out to you Heid! This is the only pict I got on my camera, because my camera ran out of batteries! Suzanne is supposed to be giving me the photos she took. It was a beautiful wedding and JUST PERFECT for Heidi and Justin. Congrats you two!

Adam's birthday was on June 1st, and boy did we sure have a great birthday weekend. We had a BBQ out at the Job site with Adam's Co-Workers! I even found cupcakes that had Tools on them. If you ask me, it was quite appropriate!

Adams Parents and Jarrett and Jessica came down that evening to go to our FAVORITE restaurant "Fiesta Mexicana" for Adam's Birthday dinner. The next morning we woke up at 6:00 am to go on a rafting tour of Glen Canyon. My friend Kelly and I visit teach a woman who is a guide down the river. She invited us and our husbands to come for free (usually a $70 trip per person!) It was so cool to be below the dam and see the history of this beautiful canyon! We were wearing helmets because people like to throw things from the bridge!

After getting back from our river tour we headed out on the lake for a few hours to go and see Sean and Sara. They were down on their house boat with Sara's family for 2 weeks again. We only visited for a few hours, but managed to get a little wakeboarding in! Man were we exhausted when we got home.

Last but not least was Memorial Day. We drove up north for the holiday. Sunday we went with my family to Salt Lake to put flowers on my grandparents grave! They were such great people and I sure miss them. I wish Adam could have met them. On Monday Adam went to Cabellas to get a few Birthday presents and I went to Ikea with my sisters. We followed our shopping trips with a BBQ at my sister Tiffany's house. It was great to see everyone. Adam and I worked on Tuesday and Wednesday at the headquarters of our jobs and went home on Wednesday evening. We had a great time.

Thanks for bearing with our REALLY long post! Hope you are well!
Adam and Mandy

I loved your long post! So girls' camp is why you haven't posted in a while. I kept checking and I was so excited to finally see some. Gorgeous picture of Bryce Canyon. Also, you look nice and buff in your wakeboarding pictures. You both sure keep busy and entertained. I love keeping up this way. Any future Phoenix trips planned? If you come here and don't call me, you'll be in BIG trouble! Thanks for the post. Looking forward to more...

So many fun things! Congrats on closing on your condo. That is so exciting. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Yes, we are so happy about things working out with our house (at least so far). It was so good to see you at Heidi's wedding.

I'm so jealous. Bryce Canyon was the spot Karen and I took our first camping trip. That place is amazing.
